Big Ideas, Real Impact. * Strategy first. Impact next.

Dannet Botkin merges her passion for fashion and ocean and marine life conservation.

Merging passion with precision, I provide specialized marketing and business advisory support for ocean and marine mammal conservation.

Passion fuels conservation, but without a disciplined strategy, it becomes noise. I believe organizations that protect our blue planet deserve the same high-level strategic rigor that Fortune 500 companies use to win attention, funding, and impact. Accidental marketing won’t cut it when the stakes are this high.

From the path lab to the boardroom

My approach isn’t theoretical — it was forged in the field. I studied marine biology at Texas A&M Galveston, volunteered with the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network and Save the Manatee, and worked in St. Pete’s path lab performing necropsies to understand why marine life is lost. That scientific discipline informs everything I do: when I diagnose a brand or a failing campaign, I apply the same analytical rigor I used in the lab to find root causes and prescribe fixes.

What I do for ocean and marine life nonprofits

I advise conservation organizations to turn good intentions into measurable impact by increasing visibility, building trust, and scaling fundraising efforts. I work with ocean conservation, marine research, and marine mammal nonprofits to diagnose challenges, set priorities, and design practical, sustainable strategies that your team can implement.

Services (consulting and strategy):

  • Marketing leadership: Advisory CMO services — I set marketing strategy, governance, and measurement frameworks so your team or vendors can run campaigns effectively.

  • Brand architecture: I design identity systems and positioning that build recognition and long-term trust.

  • Content strategy & storytelling: I develop high-impact video and narrative strategies and editorial roadmaps that make the ocean’s stories impossible to ignore.

  • Strategic business planning: I produce actionable business plans with integrated marketing roadmaps for sustainable growth and fundraising.

  • Visual communications guidance: I define cinematic visual standards and production plans to amplify your mission efficiently.

  • Merchandising & e‑commerce strategy: I create merchandising strategies — from product and graphic guidance to e-commerce and social-marketing plans — that unlock fundraising revenue.

If you want a tailored plan that aligns marketing with operations and fundraising, I’ll evaluate your current state, identify priorities, and deliver a clear, actionable strategy to get you where you want to go.

Strategy first. Impact next.

Strategy is not a luxury — it’s the foundation. I prioritize strategy first, then marketing, so your resources hit the target and growth follows.

If you’re ready to turn passion into measurable progress for ocean and marine life conservation, let’s talk.

I’ve always believed in giving back. I’m a donor to The Marine Mammal Center, Whale and Dolphin Conservation, and Texas A&M Galveston’s Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research, and over the past ten years I’ve contributed more than $50,000 to charities and community causes in Hot Springs Village.

My support has ranged from cancer research, animal rescue, and volunteer fire departments to youth organizations like Boys & Girls Club and Girl Scouts, civic groups including Rotary and Kiwanis, Make‑A‑Wish, the Community Foundation, Chamber of Commerce, Board of Realtors, and many more—plus initiatives that help small businesses and women entrepreneurs with limited budgets thrive.
